In this lesson, we learnt about Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), which is used to augment HTML to improve the visual impact. We learnt that there are many types of CSS, such as Internal Style Sheet, Inline Style, and the Extenal Style sheet, the latter of which we were focusing on.
CSS allows us to add a background color, standardize the font and the font size, underline and highlight important details like the header/title, etc, to our HTML. There are also the hard-to-memorize color codes, which is used to change colors and highlight items on the HTML. To give the desired output, we have to add a part in the HTML file to link it to the CSS file. We were tasked to modify the HTML file in our previous assignment, giving it a new background, font, highlights, etc.
I look forward to the next Infocomm Studies lesson so I can learn how to improve my HTML with more and better designs, so that I can see more of the new 21st century world of Web New Media.

Reflection of Lesson III
In this lesson, we learnt about the basic framework of all website, one which could be done easily with the humble Notepad, the Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML).

Reflections of Lesson II
In this lesson, we were tasked to creating an Infocomm Studies blog, which is like an online log (blog is short for web log) to log down personal activities and thoughts. It is also an integrated part of the current Internet version, the Web 2.0.
Today, we discussed several social impacts and ethical issues regarding the new Internet developments, such as copyright and intellectual property. most people thought of the Internet as a convience, with continually increasing levels of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). We learnt a lot of ethical issues regarding sensitive topics such as is copying right. In today's law, most intellectual property are protected by copyright, and copying them without permission from the owner is an offence under the law.
The takeout from this lessin has been great and I hope that those kinds of issues can be debated to further our knowledge.

Reflections of Lesson I
This is my summary and reflection of the first Term 2 Infocomm Studies Lesson. To summarize, this lesson is mainly about the background and content of the World Wide Web.
In the first lesson, we crawled through a 57-slide presentation, of which I conclude:
The Internet's growth is indeed rapid, speeding from 4 host nodes in September, 1969, when it had first gone operational for scientists at different physical locations to share information, to more than 200 million in the present day.
The Internet is controlled by no one. It is partially controlled by media and IT companies. In short, everyone controls the Internet. You can access it with slow or high speed connection, and you can chose which service provider to use, like Cable, DSL or Satellite. In addition, there is the convience it brings, granting you instant and easy access to information. We also learnt about domain names, URLs and others, such as subject directories and search engines.
Also, there are about nine different types of sites, with each serving a different purpose.
I want to express gratitude as this lesson and greatly taught me and explained much more about the internet.
