In this lesson, we were tasked to creating an Infocomm Studies blog, which is like an online log (blog is short for web log) to log down personal activities and thoughts. It is also an integrated part of the current Internet version, the Web 2.0.
Today, we discussed several social impacts and ethical issues regarding the new Internet developments, such as copyright and intellectual property. most people thought of the Internet as a convience, with continually increasing levels of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). We learnt a lot of ethical issues regarding sensitive topics such as is copying right. In today's law, most intellectual property are protected by copyright, and copying them without permission from the owner is an offence under the law.
The takeout from this lessin has been great and I hope that those kinds of issues can be debated to further our knowledge.
